이화여대 철학과, 홍익대학교 대학원 미학과 석사를 마쳤으며 동대학원 박사과정을 수료했다. 1997년부터 전시기획을 시작해, 2000년부터 2002년까지 아트센터 나비의 창립멤버로 일했고, 서울국제미디어아트비엔날레(미디어시티서울) 전시팀장(2003~2005), 의정부디지털아트페스티벌 큐레이터(2005), 대안공간 루프 책임큐레이터 등을 역임했으며, 2007년부터 토탈미술관 큐레이터로 재직 중이다. 최근 EMAP 2018-19 예술감독, 베르겐어셈블리2019(베르겐, 노르웨이) 컨트리뷰션 큐레이터, 포토마카오(마카오) 어드바이저 등으로 활발히 활동했으며, 대표적 전시로 《404 Object Not Found》, 《Coffee with Sugar》, 《Digital Playground》, 《트렌스미디알레(trandmediale)》 (베를린, 2005), 《창조적 진화(Creative Evolution)》 (런던, 2005), 슈트트가르트에서 개최된 ‘On_Difference’ (슈트트가르트, 2005) 등 해외 전시를 큐레이팅했으며, 미디어아트를 비롯한 현대미술 전방위로 활동 영역을 넓혀가고 있다.

Nathalie Boseul Shin has completed her study in Philosophy at Ewha Womans University, received a master's degree in Aesthetics, and completed a doctoral course at the Graduate School of Hongik University. She started her career in exhibition planning since 1977, and worked as one of the founding members of Art Center Nabi from 2000 to 2002. She was the head of exhibition team at Seoul Mediacity Biennale from 2003 to 2005, and served as a curator for Uijeongbu Digital Art Festival and Alternative Space Loop. She has been a curator at the Total Museum of Art since 2007. Shin has been actively working as an artistic director for EMAP 2018-19, a contribution curator for Bergen Assembly 2019 in Norway, and an advisor for Photo Macau. Her renowned exhibitions include 404 Object Not Found, Coffee with Sugar, Digital Playground, trandmediale(Berlin, 2005), Creative Evolution (London, 2005), and On_Difference (Stuttgart, 2005). She is expanding her career to all parts of contemporary art including media art.
