심소미는 독립 큐레이터로 활동하며, 도시문화에 대한 비평적 개입으로서 전시와 공공 프로젝트, 리서치를 수행해 오고 있다. 도시리서치 콜렉티브 <리트레이싱 뷰로(Re-tracing Buro)>를 결성했으며, 2019년부터 문화이론 계간지 <문화/과학> 편집위원으로 활동 중이다. 주요 기획으로 《리얼-리얼시티》(2019, 아르코미술관), 《2018 공공하는 예술: 환상벨트》(2018, 돈의문 박물관마을), 《건축에 반하여》(2018, SeMA 창고), 《오더/디스오더》(2017, 탈영역 우정국), 《2017 공공하는 예술 아카이브전》(2017, 따복하우스), 《마이크로시티랩》(2016, 서울시 외부공간), 《모바일홈 프로젝트》(2014, 송원아트센터) 등이 있다. 리서치로 《팬데믹 이후 도시공간재편과 예술》(2020), 《서브토피아 리서치》(2017), 《사회참여건축 리서치》(2015), 《동북아시아 메가시티 리서치》(2015) 등이 있다. 그외 경기도 순회 공공미술프로젝트 《2018 공공하는 예술》(경기문화재단)의 예술감독을 역임했으며, 2018년에는 제11회 이동석 전시기획상을 받았다.

Somi Sim is an independent curator, art critic and researcher based in Seoul. Her curatorial practice explores across the interdisciplinary fields of contemporary art and urbanism with focus on architectural intervention. She formed an urban research collective, Re-tracing Buro, and has been working as an editor of quarterly journal of cultural theories, Culture/Science, since 2019. Her major exhibitions include: REAL-Real City (ARCO Art Center, 2019), Ring Ring Belt (Donuimun Open Creative Village, 2018), Against Architecture (SeMA, 2018), Order/Disorder (Post Territory Ujeongguk, 2017), Those except public, art and public art (Ddabok House, 2017), Micro City Lab (2016), Mobile Home Project (Songwon Art Center, 2014). Her research works include: Urban Restructuring and Art After the Pandemic (2020), Subtopia (2017), Urban Regeneration of Asian Mega-city (2015). She also served as the artistic director of 2018 Gyeonggido Public Arts Project: Ring Ring Belt by Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation and received the 11th Lee Dong Seok Prize for Exhibition Planning in 2018.
