통계학, 문화예술경영 그리고 미술 이론을 공부했다. 도시 일상 공간에서 자본과 제도와 건강한 긴장 관계를 갖는 시각예술의 상상을 위한 전시와 프로젝트를 기획하며 갤러리 보다, 대안공간 풀, 우민아트센터에서 일했고 독립 큐레이터로도 활동했다. 2016년부터 로컬리티 그리고 생태 정치를 주제로 큐레이토리얼 실천을 하는 비영리 공간 ‘임시공간’을 운영하며 ‘예술과 공동체 연구소’에서 연구와 출판 작업도 한다.

Eunyoung Chae studied Statistics, Art Management and Art Theory. She plans exhibitions and projects for imagination of visual arts that have a healthy, tense relationship with capital system and institutions in everyday urban spaces. She worked at Gallery Boda, Alternative Space Pool, Wumin Art Center, and as an independent curator as well. Since 2016, Chae has been running a non-profit space, Space Imsi, for curatorial practice on locality and ecological politics. She also works on research studies and publication at the Institute of Community & Arts, Incheon.
