최윤정은 국문학과 미학을 전공했으며, 아르코미술관CTP 3기 과정을 거쳐, 광주 매개공간미나리 프로그래머(2008-2010), 2009대인예술시장프로젝트 레지던스팀장(2009), 대구미술관 전시2팀장(2011-2014) 등을 역임하였다. 현재는 서울시 문화비축기지 주무관으로 재직하면서 문화비축기지의 전시 및 아카이브를 담당하고 있다. 지역성과 장소성, 구체적인 삶과 역사로부터 끌어낸 주제를 선호하며, 역사·사회적 의제가 예술 창작과 결합되는 방식과 지점들을 고민하면서 리서치를 근간으로 풀어내는 프로젝트들을 기획해왔다. 이 같은 기획의 경향이 잘 드러난 프로젝트로서 한국적표현주의 《민성》(2012), 《지리산프로젝트》(2014-2015), 《성심원(한센인마을)역사관》(2017), 《자갈마당시각예술아카이브_발화, 문장의 외부에 선 행위자들》(2016), 《나의, 국가, Arbeit Macht Frei》(2018), 《경기아카이브_지금,》(2018), 《인왕산프로젝트_유서산기》(2019) 등이 있다. 제 9회 이동석전시기획상(2016)을 수상하였고, 인천아트플랫폼 8기 입주연구자로 활동하였다.

Yoonjung Choi majored in Korean literature and aesthetics, then took a curatorial course in CTP(Curatorial Training Program) in Arko Arts Center. She was a programmer at MEMISPACE in Gwangju from 2008 to 2010, and was a chief of artist-in-residence program of PAAD 2009, then later served as a curator and chief of 2nd curatorial department at Daegu Art Museum. Choi currently works as a curator at the Oil Tank Culture Park of Seoul Metropolitan Government, organizing exhibitions and archives. She focuses on themes that are drawn from locality and placeness in the historical context. She has been contemplating the methods in which the historical, social agenda is combined with the creation of art, and has been organizing projects to unravel her research as a basis. As for the projects that show her character, there are Minsung民性 (2012), Jirisan Project (2014-2015), Sungsimwon Archive (2017), Visual art archive on Jagalmadang as red-light district; Doers outside the sentence (2016), Arbeit Macht Frei (2018), Gyeonggi-Archive_Now (2018), and Inwangsan project Yu.Seosan.Gi (2019). She was awarded at the 9th Lee Dongsuk Prize for Curating in 2016 and was in Incheon Art Platform for residency in 2017.
