김정연은 서울에서 활동하는 독립기획자로서 미술사, 전시기획, 시각문화학을 전공하고, 문래예술창작촌의 ‘솜씨’, 복합예술공간 ‘아트라운지+디방’, 싱가포르 정부 프로젝트 일환인 ‘Space Cottonseed’를 개관하고 운영했다. 현대카드 수석 큐레이터로 재직 당시 ‘가파도 국제아티스트 레지던시’를 개관하기도 했다. 현재는 오픈미디어아트페스티벌을 공동 운영/기획하고 있으며, 2020-2021한국문화예술위원회 국제예술공동기금 <한국-싱가포르 교류협력 프로그램>의 총괄기획자로 활동 중이다.

Based in Seoul, JyeongYeon Kim is an independent curator who majored in art history, curatorial studies, and visual culture study. Kim opened and ran Cottonseed in Mullae Art Village, Art+Lounge Dibang, an art complex, and Space Cottonseed in Singapore as a part of the Singapore government project. She also launched the Gapado International Artist Residency while serving as the chief curator in Hyundai Card Company. She is currently co-running the Open Media Art Festival and also working as the chief facilitator of the Arts Council Korea for the 2020-2021 International Arts Joint Fund Korea-Singapore Exchange and Cooperation Program.
