문희영은 조선대학교 미술대학에서 서양화를 전공했으며, 동대학원에서 순수미술 석사 학위를 받았다. ‘예술공간 집’의 디렉터로 《다시 호흡하는 시간》(예술공간 집, 광주, 2017), 《그리고 그리다》(예술공간 집, 2018), 《존재의 재발견》(예술공간 집, 2018) 《그 곳, 그리고 지금 여기》(예술공간 집, 2019), 《강연균의 하늘과 땅 사이》(예술공간 집, 2020), 《가까이 다가가고, 멀찍이 물러나는》(예술공간 집, 2021)등의 전시를 기획했다. ‘집’이라는 상징성과 연계된 근원적 공간의 의미, 도심의 변화와 개발, 원도심에 대한 기억 등 과거의 시간을 들춰내는 전시를 진행했다. 지역의 다양한 작가를 발굴하고, 기성 작가들의 묻힌 예술자원을 들춰내며, 세대간 다양한 교류의 지점을 만들어가는 데에 관심을 두고 있다. 지역미술의 내적교류와 외적교류를 형성하며 다양한 담론을 형성해가는 기획을 추구한다. 최근에는 지역미술사 연구활동과 문화예술교육 프로젝트, 저술 활동도 이어가고 있다.

Moon Hee-young is a director of Art Space House, and she majored in Western painting at Chosun University's College and received a master's degree in fine art from the same university. Moon has organized exhibitions include Time to Breathe Again (2017), To Paint and Paint (2018), Rediscovery of Existence (2018), There, and Now Here (2019), Between the Sky and the Ground of Kang Yeon Gyun (2020), Coming Closer, Going Far Away (2021) at Art Space House, Gwangju. She has been planning an exhibition that reveals the past time, including the meaning of the fundamental space linked to the symbolism of "House," the change and development of the urban centre, and the memory of the original downtown. She is interested in discovering diverse local artists, uncovering hidden works of art by established artists, and creating various interchange points between generations. Recently, she has also been working on local art history research, art & culture education projects, and writing.
