박지형은 디스위켄드룸의 큐레이터로서 한국의 동시대 미술이 감지하는 현재적 감각을 국제적 언어로 전환하는 전략을 구축하는 데 관심을 가지고 있다. 학부에서 회화와 예술학을 공부한 뒤 영국 리즈대학교 박물관학 석사와 코톨드 인스티튜트 오브 아트의 미술사학 석사 학위를 받았고, 현재 홍익대학교 예술학 박사 과정 중에 있다. 광주비엔날레 코디네이터와 페리지갤러리의 큐레이터로 일했다. 이후 독립큐레이터로 활동하며 전시 《멀고도 먼》(온수공간,2021), 《노려본들 어쩔 것이냐》(두산갤러리, 2020, 공동기획), 강정인 개인전 《Interlude》(전시공간, 2020), 《투명함을 닫는 일과 어두움을 여는 일》(강남아파트, 2018)등을 기획했고, 한국예술창작아카데미(한국문화예술위원회, 2020)와 두산큐레이터워크샵(두산갤러리, 2019)에 참여한 바 있다.

Jihyung Park is the curator of ThisWeekendRoom, who has strong interests in translating the senses of Korean contemporary art into global contexts and detecting new strategies of contemporary painting. She holds a BA in Fine Art and Art Theory from Hongik University, an MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from the University of Leeds, and an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art. Park has previously worked as the coordinator of Gwangju Biennale and as the curator of Perigee Gallery. She has curated numerous exhibitions while working as an independent curator, among which are: Fathomless (2021); Don’t Care If You Give Me the Evil Eye (2020, co-curated); Jungin Kang’s solo exhibition Interlude (2020); and A Way to Close Transparency and to Open the Darkness (2018). Park has also participated in Korean Art Creative Academy (2020) and DOOSAN Curator Workshop (2019). She is currently a PhD candidate of Art Theory from Hongik University.
